Dr. Joseph M. Starita, President of CPP Engineering, LLC holds ME from Stevens Institute of Technology and MSE, MA & PhD in Chemical Engineering - Polymer Materials Program Princeton University. Dr. Starita held product, process and materials development managerial positions at General Electric.  He and was the founder of Rheometrics, Inc (acquired by TA Instruments, Inc.) the most successful manufacturer of rheological testing instruments in the world. Dr. Starita is an Society of Plastics Fellow and is recognized worldwide as an expert applying rheology to solve polymer process, material and product problems.  With 37 years of experience and expertise in polymer rheology, materials, process and equipment development Dr. Starita established CPP Engineering, LLC.  The mission of CPP Engineering, LLC is to provide polymer material, product design and process to the plastics industry.

Fields of Interest:

• Blending of commodity, wide specification and recycled resins to obtain prime resin performance including polyethylene, polypropylene, engineering resins, for example, PBT/PET recycle blends for injection molding.

• Process and design expertise in the corrugated plastic pipe with emphasis on pressure pipe applications such as sanitary sewer and low head water transmission applications.  CPP has patents and pending patent applications for CNC Corrugator, die design and mold design as well as a patented WaterTyte® flange joining system for corrugated HDPE pipe.

• Applied rheology to solve process and polymer material problems

• Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Engineering polymers.

• Patent pending technology based on suppressing gassing of resins with coatings.
